Athletic Hall of Fame Information

Windsor Greyhounds Hall of Fame Criteria

Throughout Greyhound history, there have been contributors, athletes, coaches, and teams that have had a significant and lasting impact on our athletic programs. This group of people deserve to be recognized for their accomplishments with induction into the Windsor Greyhounds Athletic Hall of Fame.

Nominated individuals and teams will be examined and selected by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee based on their achievements and accomplishments during and after their playing career.  The Windsor Greyhounds Hall of Fame will recognize both living and deceased outstanding contributors, athletes, coaches, and qualified teams.

Nominations need to be submitted before August 1st of each year and will be reviewed annually. The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will welcome and accept any additional supplemental factual history and statistics supporting any nominee.  This information can continually be updated.

Hall of Fame Committee

The Windsor High School athletic director will serve as the chairperson of the committee.  This individual will be a non-voting member except in the case of a tie.  The Hall of Fame Committee will consist of five voting members of the school community that shall be appointed by the high school athletic director.  A committee member can abstain from voting for themselves, immediate family members, or a team in which they belonged or coached.  These committee members will serve a two year term and can be removed and reappointed at the discretion of the athletic director and Hall of Fame Committee.
